About This Game Cossacks: European Wars is a historical real-time strategy based on events of the 16th through the 18th centuries in Europe, when nations and states were created and demolished, and wars shed seas of blood. There are 16 nations or regions in Cossacks: Algeria, Austria, England, France, the Netherlands, Piemonte, Poland, Portugal, Prussia, Russia, Saxony, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and Venice. Each has its own original graphics, economic and technical development peculiarities, military advantages and drawbacks, and unique units and technologies, providing vast choices of tactics and strategy in war against any enemy. Thus, England is the mightiest sea power, Austria has powerful light and heavy cavalry, and Cossacks are the pride of the Ukrainian army. Battles of up to 8,000 units may be conducted on single or network game maps. One can carry out lingering city sieges, wage guerilla wars, capture commanding heights and arrange ambushes, deploy landing forces on enemy shores, and conduct sea battles. XD. Nothing new if you played Age of Empires, Starcraft or Command & Conquer. It follows all the canon on RTS games, and teachs history of less considered cultures (point to this).But, is funny? Yes, it is.. Still one of best RTS games around. For this price it is a bargain.. THE TUTORIAL IS TOO LONG. Sometimes it crashes but still it's playable.. Had this back when it was new, in fact I still have the discs but the old version won't work on anything after win XP. Downloade the set: this, art fo war and back to war. This one worked to begin with but installing art of war/back to war broke it. Now neither this nor art of war will run (on windows 10) so not that impressed. Back to war (which is a standalone) will run but you can't play the original campaigns in that.I recommend the game highly but for now it gets a "no" because of the problems mentioned.
